Well I think it's kind of a standard to have at least one future city matte painting in your portfolio. It's like the Wilhelm scream of digital artists lol. So this is my concept, the city of Aladoria. I wanted to do a more real and reasonable future city, not one that's too over designed and extreme. Something that looks like it can be from our near future. All done in Photoshop. It's some photo composite, like most mattes, with a lot of detail painting. Let me know what you think, Thanks guys!
Also feel free to download, use it as a wallpaper!
How long have you been working professionally at art? You work is phenomenal, and I can't even fathom how much time it must have taken to reach this level of skill.
I have to say, that the picture really looks great. I can't criticize it after the first glance. Maybe I will write a critique later on.
You're completely right, as a professional digital artist it's a must have. What always interests me about such matte paintings is, where do you get the stocks from? Because I would love to try matte painting too in the future...
Hey man thanks! I use [link] it's free but not a lot of inventory, good for landscapes and cities though. Other then that it's just Google or paint it.
